Ahead of its grand theatrical release, Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s much-awaited sports action drama Peddi has received a major boost from the Andhra Pradesh government. The state has officially issued a Government Order (G.O.) permitting special ticket prices for the film during its initial run.
As per the order, Peddi will have paid premiere shows on Wednesday, June 3, at 8 PM. Ticket prices for these special premieres have been fixed at Rs. 600, inclusive of GST.
For regular screenings beginning on June 4, the government has approved a ticket price increase of Rs. 100 (including GST) for single-screen theatres and Rs. 125 (including GST) for multiplexes. With the revised pricing, tickets will cost Rs. 247 in single screens and Rs. 302 in multiplexes.
The enhanced ticket rates will remain in effect for the first ten days of the film’s theatrical run. Additionally, exhibitors have been granted permission to screen five shows per day during this period.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is carrying strong pre-release buzz and is expected to open big at the box office. If the film lives up to expectations, Ram Charan could be headed for one of the biggest box-office successes of his career.
The film stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead and features music composed by legendary musician A. R. Rahman. Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner, Peddi is set for a massive release worldwide.
