Telugu superstar Nani and director Srikanth Odela have revealed key details about their much-anticipated film, The Paradise. The film, which is being compared to Mad Max, promises to be a bold and intense cinematic experience. A teaser was recently released, generating immense buzz for its gritty visuals and raw storytelling. Along with the teaser, the makers have officially announced the release date: March 26, 2026.
A Story of Rebellion and Survival
Set in 1980s Secunderabad, The Paradise follows an oppressed tribe struggling to claim their basic rights. The system keeps them marginalized, but they find an unexpected leader, a fierce and fearless rebel, introduced in the teaser as “a bastard.” He leads them in a fight against oppression, aiming to bring justice to his people.
Director Srikanth Odela emphasized that the film will not shy away from harsh realities. “This time, we are not blurring or masking societal taboos. The Paradise will be raw, real, and one of the most honest Indian films ever made,” he said in an exclusive interview with Variety. He believes the film’s themes of bureaucracy, oppression, and survival will connect with audiences worldwide.
Nani’s Boldest Role Yet
Nani, known for his versatility, describes The Paradise as “India’s Mad Max” and assures fans that it will be a wild and intense experience. “The tone of the film will be brutal but poetic. It will be a story of rebellion, justice, and survival,” he said.
Nani, who previously collaborated with Odela on the blockbuster Dasara (2023), believes The Paradise has global potential. “If 1,000 of my efforts can make even one person from across the world watch my film, it’s worth it,” he said.
A Powerhouse Team Behind the Film
The film features Sonali Kulkarni in a key role. Anirudh is composing the music, while G.K. Vishnu handles cinematography. The editing is by Navin Nooli, with production design by Avinash Kolla. The screenplay team includes Thota Srinivas, Arjuna Paturi, Vamsi Krishna Pinnika, and more. Produced by Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas, The Paradise is set to be one of the most ambitious Telugu films ever made.
