Lokesh Stepped Up One More With Thalapathy ‘Leo’

Thalapathy ‘Leo’ review

The most anticipated movie written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj ‘Leo’ starring Thalapathy Vijay, Trisha and Arjun Sarja, Sanjay Dutt, and Gautham Vasudev Menon in supporting roles. Undoubtedly this is Vijay’s best movie in recent years. Music by Anirudh is top notch and the bgm gave life to scenes and elevated them throughout the movie.

Plot:

Parthiban (Vijay) along with his family wife (Trisha) and daughter lives in Himachal Pradesh and runs a cafe and is also an animal rescuer. The movie starts with an engaging action sequence involving a VFX hyena which is extremely good to watch.

One day an incident occurred in his life turning tables towards a person named ‘Leo’. After the incident, Vijay gets attacked several times by unknown people which changes the course of Parthiban’s life. These attacks and confusion over Parthiban identity are interestingly carried up to the interval block.

Post interval block there lies the flashback which is the heart and soul of the movie revealing the originality of Parthiban.

How Antony (Sanjay Dutt) and Herold Das (Arjun Sarja) are related to Leo? And how Leo And Parthibhan are connected? Are Leo and Parthibhan really connected or they are the same person forms the rest of the story.

Performances:

Vijay made a solid comeback performance and can be hailed as one of the best performances in his career of  67 movies. Trisha within her role scope gave her best.

Sunil Dutt and Arjun Sarja played prominent roles and put up their experience whenever needed in the film.

Others did as per the scope of their roles.

Technical Aspects:

The taking and screenplay by Lokesh are brilliant.

The usage of the Red camera for Inox viewing is really great to watch on the big screens.

Music by Anirudh is top-notch.

Telugufunda Thumbs up:

1. Vijay’s performance

2. Lokesh’s Direction

3. Racing Screenplay

4. Anirudh’s Music and BGM.

Telugufunda Thumbs Down:

  1. Few drag scenes in the second half.

Telugufunda says  Leo is step up directorial film from Lokesh brilliantly grooved in between for his “LCU” franchise, a must-watch film to understand and connect all the missing links of LCU and to understand the upcoming movies of LCU from Lokesh.

Telugufunda Rating : 3 / 5.
