In a major blow to actor-producer Manchu Vishnu’s dream project, Kannappa, someone stole crucial content from the film, causing serious concern just weeks before its theatrical release. The movie team has entered the final stage of post-production and planned to release the film on June 27. However, the sudden theft of a hard drive carrying sensitive content has disrupted their schedule and triggered a full-scale police investigation.

Hyderabad Team Loses Kannappa Content in Shocking Theft

The problem began when HIV Studios in Mumbai couriered a hard drive to the production office in Filmnagar, Hyderabad. This drive contained important VFX content for Kannappa. On May 25, office boy Raghu received the package. But instead of submitting it to the production team, he handed it over to a woman named Charitha without notifying anyone.

After the incident, both Raghu and Charitha vanished, which caused panic among the production crew. The team at Twenty Four Frames Factory Pvt. Ltd. immediately approached the Filmnagar Police Station and filed an official complaint about the stolen content.

Kannappa Theft May Be Part of a Conspiracy

Executive Producer Reddy Vijay Kumar believes that Raghu and Charitha acted as part of a larger plot to sabotage the film. Police officers are now investigating the possibility of a conspiracy that may involve others with malicious intent to hurt the film’s success. Investigators have started tracking the suspects and are trying to recover the stolen hard drive as quickly as possible.
