Akhanda 2 OTT Release Date Locked; Netflix Confirms Pan-Indian Streaming

The long wait for the OTT release of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2: Thaandavam has finally come to an end. Netflix has officially confirmed that the film will begin streaming from January 9, 2026, across all major Indian languages, including Hindi.

Earlier, confusion arose after Netflix briefly listed the release date in its catalogue, only to remove it later. This sparked rumours of a possible postponement. However, the streaming giant has now reinstated the date, putting an end to all speculation and confirming the digital premiere.

Directed by Boyapati Srinu, Akhanda 2: Thaandavam did not achieve massive box office success but managed to entertain a section of the audience. With its OTT release now confirmed, it remains to be seen how the film performs in the digital space.

The film stars Samyuktha, Aadhi Pinisetty, Harshaali Malhotra, Poorna, and Kabir Duhan Singh in key roles. Produced by 14 Reels Plus, the movie features music composed by Thaman.
