Tamil actor Vijay plunged into politics by launching a party named Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam in February this year. He plans to contest the 2026 Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu. Today (August 22nd), the ‘Bigil’ and ‘Mersal’ actor unveiled the flag and symbol for his political party. “The two-coloured maroon and yellow flag has elephants on both sides and a peacock surrounded by stars at the centre,” wrote Hindustan Times, describing the flag in its report.
Incidentally, the flag comes across as the national flag of Spain. The colour combination is so unmistakably similar.
Vijay is an introvert by nature. It has to be seen how he will navigate the world of politics in his State. He will be bidding goodbye to acting after doing just one more film post ‘The Greatest Of All Time’. His last film is going to be a thorough entertainer, as per Chennai media reports.
‘The Greatest Of All Time’, directed by Venkat Prabhu, will arrive at the cinemas on September 5th.
