Ram Charan’s much-awaited sports drama Peddi is likely to hit theatres in Telangana without any ticket price hike, according to the latest reports.
The makers reportedly made two attempts to secure permission for enhanced ticket rates by approaching the Home Secretary. However, after failing to receive a positive response, they are said to have moved the Telangana High Court seeking relief.
Reports suggest that the High Court declined to intervene, citing previous rulings related to ticket price revisions. Following this development, the team reportedly withdrew its petition, making it likely that Peddi will be released at regular ticket prices across the state.
While an official announcement is still awaited, the current buzz indicates that audiences in Telangana may get to watch the film without any additional ticket burden.
Interestingly, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, another major release backed by Mythri Movie Makers, was also released in Telangana at standard ticket rates, setting a similar precedent.
With Peddi gearing up for a grand release, all eyes are now on the makers for an official clarification regarding ticket pricing.
