Actor Ram Charan shared an interesting interaction he had with Prime Minister Narendra ModRam Charan Reveals His Conversation with PM Modi; Says Peddi Reflects the Vision of Viksit Bharati during the Delhi press meet of his upcoming film Peddi. The actor revealed that the conversation revolved around the film’s core theme and its connection to the idea of “Viksit Bharat” through the empowerment of villages.

Speaking at the event, Ram Charan said that when he met PM Modi in Delhi, the Prime Minister asked him about the storyline of Peddi. Charan explained that the film focuses on the development and upliftment of rural communities and how one individual can inspire massive change in society.

Recalling the conversation, Ram Charan said PM Modi shared an inspiring real-life incident from his campaign in West Bengal. According to the actor, the Prime Minister noticed many youngsters in a small village wearing football jerseys and later learned that a local man named Mohammed had once represented the Indian football team. His achievement motivated several youngsters from the village to pursue football seriously.

Ram Charan revealed that PM Modi told him that today more than 85 people from that locality are actively playing football because of the inspiration created by one individual. The actor added that Peddi carries a similar emotional core, as the story revolves around a man from a tribal region whose journey brings transformation to his community.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead. The film also features Shiva Rajkumar, Divyenndu Sharma, Jagapathi Babu, and Boman Irani in important roles. Academy Award-winning composer AR Rahman is scoring the music for the film.

Peddi is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on June 4, 2026, in multiple Indian languages.
