Discussions regarding the ongoing crisis in the Telugu film industry’s theatre sector are currently drawing major attention. A crucial meeting was recently held in the presence of megastar Chiranjeevi, where several industry representatives and exhibitors discussed the growing problems faced by single-screen theatres.
During the meeting, Chiranjeevi was reportedly surprised after learning about the number of single-screen theatres that are shutting down. He assured exhibitors that efforts would be made to find a practical solution and requested them to wait until the committee formed to study the issue submits its final report.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Dil Raju stated that Chiranjeevi had already gathered detailed information from the committee members and completely understood the concerns of exhibitors. He added that official details regarding the discussions and future course of action would be announced soon through the Film Chamber.
Dil Raju further mentioned that Chiranjeevi promised to hand over the issue to the committee for a faster resolution process. According to him, exhibitors are feeling relieved and optimistic after receiving a positive response from the megastar.
Representatives from the exhibitor sector also revealed that they had an extensive discussion with Chiranjeevi for more than an hour regarding the theatre crisis and the financial struggles being faced by single-screen theatres. They said Chiranjeevi responded positively to all the concerns raised and assured them that he would soon hold further discussions with committee members and exhibitors before arriving at a final decision.
