Fresh Controversy Surrounds ‘Peddi’ Ahead Of Release In Telangana

Just when things seemed to be settling down for Ram Charan’s much-awaited film Peddi, a new controversy has emerged in Telangana. Earlier, the TFCC Sub-Committee had clarified that there would be no hurdles for the film’s release in the state. However, the latest developments from exhibitors have once again created tension around the project.

At a press meet held today, exhibitors openly opposed ticket price hikes for Peddi in Telangana. They revealed that a formal letter had already been submitted to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy requesting the government not to permit any increase in ticket prices for the film.

Adding to the issue, exhibitors also announced that films would now be screened strictly on a percentage-sharing basis moving forward. They confirmed that this new system would apply to Peddi as well, making the situation even more complicated for the makers.

With less than two weeks left for release, the latest industry developments have sparked concern among fans about whether these ongoing disputes could impact the film’s theatrical run in Telangana. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the sports action drama features Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead.
