GlobeTrotter: Prithviraj’s Fierce Transformation as the Mighty KUMBHA

The makers of GlobeTrotter have unveiled the first look of Prithviraj Sukumaran as Kumbha, and the response has been electric.

In the striking poster, Prithviraj appears seated in a futuristic wheelchair-like contraption, complete with robotic arms extending from behind an image that exudes sheer power and control. His upright posture, squared shoulders, and firm grip on the armrests communicate dominance, while his piercing gaze hints at a cold, calculating antagonist.

Against a backdrop of dust and chaos, with soldiers racing behind him, the stillness of Kumbha’s pose amplifies his menace. The mechanical arms seem to act as extensions of his will precise, authoritative, and unrelenting.

Director SS Rajamouli couldn’t contain his admiration for the actor, remarking,

“After canning the first shot with Prithvi, I told him he’s one of the finest actors I’ve ever known. Bringing life to this ruthless and powerful antagonist Kumbha was creatively very satisfying. Thank you, Prithvi, for slipping into his chair… literally.”

Lead actor Mahesh Babu added a note of friendly rivalry:

“Stood on the other side… time to meet you head-on, Kumbha.”

Meanwhile, Prithviraj shared his excitement, writing,

“Presenting Kumbha, the most complex mind I’ve ever played. Ready for you, Mahesh. It’s game on, Priyanka Chopra. Thank you, Rajamouli sir, for crafting a world that constantly tests my limits.”

The film’s grand reveal event is set for November 15 at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, and is expected to be one of the biggest cinematic events ever held in India. The team will officially announce the film’s title and unveil its first visual glimpse at the event.

With Rajamouli’s visionary direction, Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra in the lead, and Prithviraj delivering a powerhouse turn as Kumbha, GlobeTrotter is fast emerging as one of the most anticipated films of the decade.
