Director Srikanth Odela, best known for his blockbuster debut Dasara, is now stepping into film production. While currently working on The Paradise with Nani and preparing for a project with Chiranjeevi, Odela has announced his first venture as a producer, Gulabi.
This intense love story, set in the coal town of Godavarikhani in 2009, is inspired by real events. The film is written and directed by debutant Chetan Bandi and will be produced under Sammakka Sarakka Creations, Odela’s new banner. He has teamed up with Anurag Reddy and Sharath Chandra of Chai Bisket Films for this project.

The first-look poster has already generated buzz. It features a woman in a black saree, walking across a border, with red roses scattered around. The imagery suggests a deep, emotional narrative filled with love, struggle, and tragedy.
