Mark your calendars! Suriya’s highly anticipated period action film, ‘Kanguva’, is hitting theaters on October 10th. The makers unveiled a striking release poster featuring Suriya standing on a pile of fallen foes.
Directed by Siva, ‘Kanguva’ boasts a star-studded cast. Disha Patani, fresh off her role in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, takes on the lead heroine role. Bobby Deol is playing a more important role than her. Jagapathi Babu and Yogi Babu will also be seen.
Produced by V Vamsi Krishna Reddy, Pramod Uppalapati of UV Creations, KE Gnanavelraja of Studio Green and Jayantilal Gada of PEN, ‘Kanguva’ promises a visual spectacle. The talented Devi Sri Prasad composes the music, while Vetri Palanisamy handles the cinematography.
The film was originally planned to be released on April 5th. It was postponed because of extensive post-production work.
Actor Suriya was recently in the news for extending his support to the victims of a major hooch tragedy in Tamil Nadu. He is one of the producers of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sarfira’ (a remake of ‘Soorarai Pottru’), which is a July 12th release.
