Zombie Reddy 2 to Go Global, Confirms Teja Sajja

The much-awaited Zombie Reddy 2 is officially on the way, and this time, the team is thinking big, really big. Actor Teja Sajja, who is currently busy with his action-fantasy film Mirai, confirmed that the sequel will hit an international scale. Director Prashanth Varma created the first Zombie Reddy as Telugu cinema’s first-ever zombie film, blending a Rayalaseema faction drama with a zombie outbreak. Now, the makers plan to take the story global.

Zombie Reddy 2 to Target Global Audiences

In an interview, Teja Sajja said, “Zombie Reddy 2 will reach another level, at an international standard. We will not compromise on fun, but this time, we will deliver a film that appeals to audiences across the world. Usually, we watch international zombie films, but now we will make one for them to watch.”

This fresh approach shows Telugu cinema’s growing global reach. Teja Sajja’s popularity skyrocketed after HanuMan, and the team plans to use his pan-India appeal to make the sequel bigger and better. Critics praised the first film for its quirky mix of humor and action, but Teja believes it never got the platform it needed. “We were all newcomers then, so we made it that way, no regrets. But now we have the chance to give it a larger canvas,” he explained.

Big Expectations After Mirai

Teja Sajja will next appear in Mirai, directed by Karthik Gattamneni, which releases on September 12, 2025. People Media Factory produces the large-scale spectacle. The film features Ritika Nayak as Vibha, Manoj Manchu as the antagonist, and Shriya Saran and Jayaram in key roles. If Mirai performs well, it will boost Teja’s career further and help the team bring top resources together for Zombie Reddy 2.
