Directed by Geetu Mohandas, this high-budget project will be the first big-scale Indian movie to be shot simultaneously in both English and Kannada. This move aims to offer a truly global cinematic experience, making it accessible to international audiences while staying authentic to its Indian roots.

Pan-Indian and International Release

The makers of Toxic have confirmed that the film will be released in multiple languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. Additionally, it will also be available in several foreign languages, making it a historic release for Indian cinema. Star-Studded Team and High Production Standards

To ensure the film meets international standards, the team has brought in Hollywood action director JJ Perry, known for his work in John Wick and Fast & Furious. The film’s visual effects will be handled by DNEG, the BAFTA-winning studio behind Dune: Part Two.

Speaking about the film’s dual-language approach, director Geetu Mohandas said, “We wanted to craft a narrative that connects with both Indian and international audiences. We have worked hard to ensure that the story’s depth and emotions remain intact in both Kannada and English.”

Postponed Release Date

Originally set for April 2025, Toxic has been postponed, and the makers have not yet announced the new release date. The film began shooting on August 8, 2024, in Bengaluru and is currently in production.
