The teaser of Vishwambhara, the highly anticipated socio-fantasy film starring Chiranjeevi, sparked controversy after many viewers criticized its visuals. Now, senior producer Satya Narayana Reddy, father of director Vassishta Mallidi, has clarified the matter. He confirmed that the film team used AI-generated visuals for the teaser and didn’t include any real footage or VFX from the actual movie.

VFX delay pushed the team to use AI visuals

The filmmakers initially planned to release Vishwambhara during Sankranthi. The CGI companies assured the team that they could complete the visual effects in three months. However, the team offered them six months to ensure high-quality output. Even after six months, the VFX companies failed to deliver the work.

As the deadline neared and no completed scenes were available, the team decided to generate teaser visuals using AI. They aimed to give the audience a sneak peek of the film. However, many viewers misunderstood the teaser as actual footage, which led to heavy criticism across social media platforms.

Team drops AI visuals for the final version

After facing backlash, the makers chose to postpone the release. They shifted their focus to completing the real CGI and post-production work without compromise. The team has now promised to avoid AI-generated visuals entirely in the final film. They aim to deliver a visually strong experience and silence the critics.

Fans respond with shock and sarcasm

Fans had mixed reactions after Satya Narayana Reddy’s statement went viral. Some fans expressed disbelief, while others accused the team of trying to cover up a failed teaser. A few fans questioned whether Chiranjeevi himself was real or AI-generated. One fan joked, “So, even Chiru is not real in this teaser?”
