Vishnu Vinyasam Review : Laughs Galore in First Half, But Second Half Falls Flat!

By TeluguFunda / February 27, 2026

Punchline

A breezy first half loaded with laughs, but a flat second half keeps Vishnu Vinyasam from becoming a memorable romantic entertainer.

Storyline

Vishnu (Sree Vishnu) works as a junior lecturer in a college where Manisha (Nayana Sarika) serves as the HOD. Her quirky and eccentric behavior attracts Vishnu, and the two gradually fall in love.

Just when their relationship heads towards marriage, Manisha reveals a serious flaw in her horoscope (Jathaka Dosham). What exactly is the dosham? Why does it become a hurdle in their marriage? Why does Vishnu hesitate after learning about it? And will love triumph over astrology? The rest of the film explores these questions.

Positives

Engaging and entertaining first half

Well-written comedy sequences

Sree Vishnu and Satya’s comic timing

Vibrant cinematography by Sai Sriram

Negatives

Weak and repetitive second half

Lack of strong emotional depth

Predictable climax twist

Below-par music by Radhan

Technicalities

Sai Sriram’s cinematography is one of the film’s biggest strengths. The visuals are colorful and pleasant, adding a lively tone to the romantic comedy setup.

Music by Radhan fails to leave a mark. For a rom-com, at least one chartbuster song is expected, but the soundtrack turns out to be underwhelming. The background score is just adequate.

Editing by Karthikeyan Rohini keeps the runtime crisp at around two hours, but repetitive scenes in the latter half dilute the impact. Production values by Sree Subrahmanyeshwara Cinemas are decent and suit the film’s mid-range scale.

Director Yadunaath Maruthi Rao shows promise in handling comedy but falters in maintaining emotional consistency, especially in the second half. The writing lacks freshness in certain characterizations, which affects the overall experience.

Rating 2.5/5

Final Verdict

Vishnu Vinyasam works in parts, mainly due to its entertaining first half and effective comedy timing. However, a dull second half and weak emotional depth prevent it from reaching its full potential. It’s a partly entertaining romantic comedy that can be watched once for the laughs.
