Actor-filmmaker Vishnu Manchu, who is currently busy with his ambitious pan-India film Kannappa, has launched a meaningful initiative to honor the sacrifices of India’s Armed Forces. As the Pro-Chancellor of Mohan Babu University in Tirupati, Vishnu announced a 50% scholarship for children of Telugu soldiers serving in the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
A Gesture of Gratitude for Soldiers
Speaking about this initiative, Vishnu said, “Our soldiers make unimaginable sacrifices to protect our nation. This scholarship is a small way for us to show respect and gratitude for their selfless service. I hope this inspires other institutions to contribute to the welfare of our soldiers’ families.”
The scholarship will apply to all courses offered by Mohan Babu University and will benefit Telugu families across India, not just in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This move has been widely appreciated as a heartfelt acknowledgment of the sacrifices made by Armed Forces personnel.
Vishnu Manchu’s Philanthropic Efforts
This isn’t the first time Vishnu Manchu has contributed to society. Two years ago, he adopted 120 orphan children in Tirupati, taking responsibility for their education, well-being, and overall development. He has also led several outreach programs focused on improving access to education for underprivileged communities.
Through his leadership at Mohan Babu University, Vishnu continues to blend education with social responsibility, ensuring inclusivity and opportunities for diverse groups.
Vishnu’s Ambitious Project: Kannappa
Meanwhile, Vishnu is also focused on his dream project, Kannappa, directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh. This high-budget mythological film features a star-studded cast, including Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal. Set for release on April 25, 2025, the film has generated immense anticipation.
Fans are particularly excited about Prabhas’ role. His first look from the film, featuring sacred ash and a trident, will be unveiled on February 3. Earlier, posters of Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva and Kajal Aggarwal as Goddess Parvati received a positive response, adding to the excitement.
With his scholarship initiative and ambitious cinematic projects, Vishnu Manchu continues to make significant contributions both on and off-screen.
