'Vikkatakavi' to stream on ZEE5 from THIS date

‘Vikkatakavi’ is the title of the latest web series presentation from ZEE5. To be streamed in Telugu and Tamil from November 28th, this one is headlined by Naresh Agastya and Megha Akash.

SRT Entertainments, which is currently producing Vishwak Sen’s ‘Mechanic Rocky’, has bankrolled the series. Directed by Pradeep Maddali, the series is touted to be the “first-ever detective web series set against a Telangana backdrop”. The director has previously assisted Puri Jagannadh and is the director of Satya Dev Kancharana’s ’47 Days’.

What is the premise? Amaragiri, a region in the Nallamala area has been cursed for the past 30 years since the merging of Hyderabad. “Detective Ramakrishna sets out to uncover the underlying issue troubling Amaragiri. Using his sharp intellect, he unveils ancient tales and modern conspiracies hidden within the village. What challenges does he encounter on this journey? What is his connection to Amaragiri? That’s what the series is about,” the makers said.

Ajay Arasada and Shoaib Siddiqui are the film’s music director and cinematographer, respectively. ‘Vikkatakavi’ also features a set of other artists with whom we are familiar.
