He strives to fight against the atrocities committed by thieves in the village, while facing the injustices of the landlords. The answers to these questions form the narrative of this movie, where Hanumanthu’s efforts, Anjaneyaswami’s grace, and divine interventions unfold.
Performances:
Teja Sajja, in the role of Hanumanthu, convincingly portrayed the character – a young man unaware of his extraordinary powers, navigating through the roles of a lover, brother, and the savior of the village. He seamlessly entered the character with doubtlessly expressing the infiltration of divine energy in various situations. He skillfully transformed himself for the trailer, and now, Amritha Aiyer as Meenakshi, Varalakshmi Sharath Kumar as Anjanamma (Hanumanthu’s sister), and Vinay Rai as Michael have also delivered noteworthy performances. Getup Srinu, Satyam Rajesh, and Vennela Kishore added humor to the narrative with their comedic timing.
Technical Aspects:
When it comes to technical aspects, the Hanuman movie has elevated to another level with VFX, music, and cinematography.
Editing and other departments have done a commendable job. Niranjan Reddy, who produced the film, deserves applause for crafting the movie without compromising the story he believed in.
Telugu Funda Analysis:
Hanuman, portrayed by Teja Sajaa, emerges as an unexpected hero in this film, transforming from an underdog to a superhero. The narrative revolves around the classic theme of an underdog rising to the occasion. Prashant Varma seems to draw inspiration from Rajamouli, employing some of his techniques evident in many frames. The utilization of Rajamouli’s elevation techniques for the protagonist effectively captivates the audience, keeping them engaged throughout the storytelling. Varma proves to be a new and noteworthy force in the industry.
However, on the downside, the film could benefit from more editing, particularly in the somewhat slow-paced first half where the initial momentum is lacking until around the 30-minute mark. Nonetheless, the movie transforms into a non-stop entertainer in the second half, delivering a compelling and engaging experience. Despite a modest budget, the team achieves impressive visual effects, a commendable feat. Varalaxmi as Teja’s sister, Vinay as the menacing villain, and Samuthirakani in a sublime form add significant value to the storyline.
While Vennela Kishore and Amrita Aiyer could have been given more screen time, director Prashant Varma skillfully blends drama and mythology, creating a perfect blend with numerous goosebump-inducing moments. The film’s greatest strength lies in the fact that the VFX never overshadows the story, maintaining a balanced narrative throughout.
