Supreme Court Backs Jani Master, Upholds Bail in Harassment Case

Jani Master, a prominent choreographer known for his work in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi films, recently received relief from the Supreme Court in a Sexual Harassment Case. The top court upheld the Telangana High Court’s decision to grant him conditional bail and dismissed a petition seeking to cancel it. This marks a significant legal victory for Jani Master, who has been in the spotlight due to the serious Allegations against him.

The case originated from a complaint filed by a former assistant choreographer. She accused Jani Master of sexual harassment and rape, alleging repeated incidents. The complaint was initially lodged at the Rayadurgam Police Station and later transferred to the Narsingi police station as a zero FIR. Following these allegations, Jani Master was arrested and spent several days in Chanchalguda Jail.

On October 24, the Telangana High Court granted him conditional bail with strict terms. Justice Juvvadi Sridevi, who presided over the bail hearing, instructed Jani Master and his family to avoid threatening or troubling the complainant. The  High Court also prohibited them from disturbing her at her workplace, warning that any violation would lead to the cancellation of his  Bail. Jani Master was released from Jail on October 25 and has since resumed his activities, spending time with his family and also attending programs.

In a recent development, the complainant filed a petition with the Supreme Court, seeking the cancellation of Jani Master’s Bail. However, the Supreme Court dismissed the plea, reaffirming the Telangana  High Court’s decision. This ruling has provided relief to Jani Master, allowing him to continue his professional and personal life under the conditions set by the court.
