Sunil Kashyap is an esteemed Indian film music composer, singer, and musician renowned for his contributions to Tollywood. Born and raised in Andhra Pradesh, he has left an indelible mark on the Telugu film industry with his versatile talents as a film score composer, music director, singer, actor, and dancer.

Sunil Kashyap embarked on his artistic journey in 2008, and since then, he has been a prominent figure in the entertainment industry. His musical prowess extends to various genres, including film score and world music, showcasing his versatility and adaptability as a composer.

Sunil Kashyap gained widespread recognition for his rendition of the famous “Azeemo Shan Shehenshah” from A. R. Rahman’s epic film, Jodhaa Akbar, in the dubbed Telugu and Tamil versions. His soulful and powerful vocals added a unique touch to the song, earning him accolades from both audiences and critics alike.

While not much is known about Sunil’s early life and childhood, he spent a considerable amount of time in Rayalaseema, becoming familiar with the Telugu language. His mother tongue is Kannada, adding to his diverse linguistic background.

Sunil Kashyap pursued his education at Sri Ramakrishna Degree College in Nandyal, Kurnool district. Despite his limited appearances in television interviews and musical functions, he has consistently showcased his musical prowess and dedication to his craft.

Sunil’s talent came to the forefront when he participated in the talent show titled ‘Ooh Laa Laa,’ where he secured the first position. The show, judged by none other than the legendary A. R. Rahman, became a stepping stone for Sunil’s flourishing career.

Sunil Kashyap’s notable contribution to Telugu cinema includes providing music for the popular film “Loafer.” His musical compositions have resonated with audiences, enhancing the cinematic experience and earning him a special place in the hearts of Telugu movie enthusiasts.

Born in Andhra Pradesh, Sunil Kashyap spent his childhood in Cement Nagar, attending St. Ann’s English Medium High School run by Kerala nuns. Later, he continued his secondary education at Panyam Cements High School in Kurnool District. Hailing from a family with a musical inclination, his father, a Mechanical Engineer, also shared a passion for music. Sunil’s siblings, Anil Kashyap and Gayathri, are also accomplished singers, contributing to the musical legacy of the Kashyap family.

In 2008, he made his mark with “Gita” in Telugu, and over the years, he has been associated with numerous successful projects. Notable films in his repertoire include “Sneha Geetham” (2010), “It’s My Love Story” (2011), “Jyothi Lakshmi” (2015), and “Rogue” (2017) in Kannada and Telugu. Apart from composing, Sunil Kashyap has also showcased his vocal talents in several films, lending his voice to soulful tracks such as “Sunyame” from “Maro Prasthanam” (2021) and “O Thalapai” from “Kothala Rayudu” (2022). His diverse portfolio reflects his dedication to creating impactful and melodious contributions to the world of Indian cinema.
