Su From So (Sulochana From Someshwara), the Kannada blockbuster that shocked the box office with its success, has now landed on OTT. After running in theatres for six sensational weeks, the horror comedy started streaming on Jio Hotstar on September 9, 2025, in Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam.
J.P. Thuminad, who directed and acted in the film, turned a modest Rs 6 crore budget into more than Rs 120 crore at the box office. The digital release now allows audiences across India to enjoy the comedy-horror experience in their preferred language.
Storyline of Su From So
The movie follows Prakash, a painter played by J.P. Thuminad. He falls for a beautiful village girl but feels trapped by the conservative mindset of the community. To escape the situation, he declares that a spirit has possessed him. His trick fails because the villagers believe him and continue to treat him as haunted, no matter how often he insists that the spirit left long ago.
The villagers claim the ghost is Sulochana from Someshwara and attempt one exorcism after another. From this setup, the film creates a hilarious and mysterious tale that explores why the spirit keeps choosing Prakash and what hidden truth she wants to reveal. The story delivers laughs, thrills, and emotion in equal measure.
