Actor Maganti Murali Mohan lauded Kakarla Krishna’s journey in the Telugu film industry, highlighting his ascent from a production manager to a producer. The celebration marked 50 years since the release of the 1974 film “Intinti Katha,” directed by K. Satyam and produced by Kakarla Krishna, featuring superstars Krishna, Anjalidevi, and Chandrakala. The Hyderabad Film Nagar Cultural Center hosted the Krishna Swarnotsava festivities on this significant occasion.
Vedic scholars from Film Nagar blessed Kaja Suryanarayana, Paruchuri Gopala Krishna, Komatireddy Lakshmi, and producer Kakarla Krishna at the event. As the chief guest, producer and actor Maganti Murali Mohan shared insights into the parallel journeys of Krishna and himself, both born in 1940, ascending from humble beginnings in the film industry. Krishna’s stint as a production manager in Rajendra Prasad’s Jagapathi company paved the way for his transition to a producer, starting with the movie “Intinti Katha.” Murali Mohan commended Krishna’s subsequent roles in films like “Edanstula Naa,” “Urantha Sankranti,” and “Raga Deepam.”
Murali Mohan recalled their collaboration in the Film Nagar Divine Sannidhanam committee in Hyderabad, initiated under Rajendra Prasad’s leadership, emphasizing Krishna’s commitment to serving the temple.
Writer Paruchuri Gopalakrishna expressed his affection for Krishna, stating that the Golden Festival was a fitting tribute to the beloved figure. President of the Producers’ Council, Kanuri Damodara Prasad, highlighted the close friendship between his father, Ranjith Kumar, and Krishna, emphasizing the festival’s significance for the entire community.
Kaja Suryanarayana reminisced about working with Krishna in the Film Nagar Home Construction Company, expressing his joy at witnessing the Golden Festival. Director Relangi Narasimha Rao, acknowledging his four-decade acquaintance with Kakarla Krishna, praised the producer’s growth in the industry. Relatives honored Kakarla Krishna, who expressed his happiness at celebrating the golden anniversary surrounded by kindred spirits, creating cherished memories for a lifetime.
The program organized by Krishna’s grandson, Trikanth, saw the participation of several industry stalwarts, including producer Rama Satyanarayana, producer Pratani Rama Krishna Goud, cameraman Navakanth, Niranjan, makeup artist Madhava Rao, photographer Haranath, journalists Bhagiratha, Umamaheswara Rao, Gorantla Suresh, Gopala Rao, Balaraju, Sambasiva Rao, and others.
