Spirit Runtime Confirmed: Sandeep Reddy Vanga Promises Under 3 Hours for Prabhas’ Film

Fans of Prabhas have eagerly waited for an update on Spirit, the much-anticipated collaboration between the superstar and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Now, they finally have good news, the director confirmed that the runtime of Spirit will stay under 3 hours, promising audiences a crisp and gripping experience. He revealed this exciting update on Jagapathi Babu’s talk show, Jayammu Nischayammu Raa, where he appeared alongside filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma (RGV).

Sandeep Reddy Vanga Talks About Spirit

Vanga explained that he plans to use the same approach he used for Animal. “I find it easier to shoot when the background music (BGM) is ready before filming. During Kabir Singh, I realized this approach makes the process smooth. For Animal, I completed 80% of the BGM before the shoot. For Spirit, I already have 70% of the music ready. This method saves nearly 5–6 days of production,” he said.

He praised Prabhas and called him “transparent and very sweet to work with.” Vanga said Prabhas never shows arrogance despite being a pan-India superstar and keeps the atmosphere positive on set. He confirmed that the team will begin shooting Spirit very soon.

Who Sandeep Wants to Work With Again

When Jagapathi Babu asked which of the three heroes he worked with, Vijay Deverakonda, Shahid Kapoor, or Ranbir Kapoorz he would collaborate with again, Vanga immediately chose Vijay Deverakonda and Ranbir Kapoor, hinting at possible future collaborations with both stars.

RGV Calls Vanga His Favorite Director

RGV openly called Sandeep Reddy Vanga his favorite director during the same episode. Vanga responded with respect and called RGV his guru. He revealed that he learned several filmmaking techniques, including editing, by watching RGV’s Satya over 60 times.

Rajamouli and the Greatest Interval Scene

Vanga expressed admiration for Rajamouli and said, “The interval of Baahubali 2 stands as the greatest interval scene ever.” He admitted that after watching it, he immediately rechecked the interval sequence of Arjun Reddy and wondered how the audience would receive it. He realized that a film must have a powerful and memorable interval block.

With the runtime confirmed, the BGM almost complete, and the shoot about to begin, Spirit promises to be one of the most thrilling films in Prabhas’ career.
