The film, representing SRK’s first collaboration with director Rajkumar Hirani, premiered at Mumbai’s iconic Gaiety Galaxy theater with the first show kicking off at 5:55 am. In footage shared by Shah Rukh Khan’s dedicated fans on various social media platforms, a massive gathering gathered at Gaiety Galaxy to commence Dunki’s release with the vibrant beats of dhol-tasha and a dazzling display of fireworks. The venue featured a prominent cutout of Shah Rukh Khan, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Twitter, now identified as X, showcased fans of SRK dancing joyously together while the rhythmic beats of dhols resonated in the background. Some enthusiasts proudly held up cutouts featuring the word “Dunki” on a flight, emphasizing the film’s title. A designated stage for fireworks further enhanced the celebratory ambiance, with fans dancing outside the theater in anticipation of the film’s premiere.
Shah Rukh Khan, visibly appreciative of the overwhelming response, reposted the videos from Gaiety Galaxy, expressing his gratitude with the words, “Thank u guys and girls, have a good show, and hope u all get entertained by #Dunki.” Additionally, audiences from New Zealand have already started sharing their reactions, and the film has been receiving great reviews since its release there.
