Following the release of the teaser for a movie directed by the renowned filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) formed a review committee. This committee was established after a request made by a judge seeking a two-member judicial committee to evaluate the film’s content. Subsequently, a petition was filed, urging the judge to reveal the details concerning the recommendations made by the review committee. The petitioners requested the judge to disclose the specifics of the review committee’s decisions and sought an opportunity to present arguments pertaining to these suggestions.
Further, both the High Court of Telangana and the judge issued their decisions regarding the suggestions made by the review committee on the 28th of the previous month. Responding to this, the producer and director Dasari Kirankumar submitted an appeal requesting a two-member judicial committee for a thorough review. This appeal was presented before Chief Justice Alok Aradhé and Justice Anil Kumar Dharmasana for their consideration on a specific day.
The judge reviewed the recommendations of the review committee before reaching any final decisions. The entire process involved legal considerations and assessments regarding the film’s content and its compliance with certification regulations.
