Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on July 20th delivered the keynote address at the ongoing Kamma Global Federation summit in Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, he described the Kamma community as synonymous to ‘amma’ and her caring attitude. “I often tell my friends we don’t have to do any research to know which regions are dominated by Kammas. Any place where agri fertility is high, you can be sure that Kammas live there,” Revanth Reddy said.
He criticized former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for not permitting protests to be held in Hyderabad when current AP CM Chandrababu Naidu was arrested in 2023 by the Jagan Mohan Reddy government. “Protests are a fundamental right in a democracy. When that basic right was snatched away from people, you saw the result in December 2023,” the T CM said.
The ongoing summit has seen the presence of prominent members of the Kamma community
