Ranga Reddy Tragedy: Death Toll Climbs to 24 in Horrific Road Accident

A devastating road accident in Telangana’s Ranga Reddy district has claimed 24 lives, leaving the entire region in shock and mourning. The tragic mishap occurred near Chevella, when a gravel-laden tipper collided head-on with a TSRTC passenger bus, resulting in catastrophic damage and numerous casualties.

According to initial reports, over 40 people sustained injuries, with at least 20 in critical condition. Local officials have confirmed that 24 victims have lost their lives so far. Rescue operations were launched immediately, with emergency teams working tirelessly to extract the injured from the mangled vehicles.

Authorities said that ten of the injured are receiving treatment at Chevella Government Hospital, while those in serious condition have been shifted to NIMS and Gandhi hospitals in Hyderabad for specialized care.

Tragically, among the deceased are three members of the same family — Tanusha, Sai Priya, and Nandini — residents of Vaddera Galli in Tandur.

Police have cordoned off the area and are investigating the cause of the accident. Preliminary suspicions point to overspeeding or driver negligence, but officials are awaiting a detailed report.

State authorities have expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families, while district administration has assured full support and compensation to the victims.
