On the occasion of Dulquer Salmaan’s birthday today, Spirit Media and Wayfarer Films jointly unveiled the title of Dulquer Salmaan’s new and engaging multi-lingual film “Kaantha.”
Rana Daggubati, Founder of Spirit Media, wished Dulquer Salmaan a happy birthday, saying, “At Spirit Media, we are always on the lookout for unique but universally appealing stories, and “Kaantha” undoubtedly fits that vision.” Collaborating with Dulquer and Wayfarer Films, as well as having a wonderful filmmaker on board, is very fulfilling, and for my buddy Dulquer, this is a beautiful present from the team to celebrate his birthday with millions of his followers.”
The film, named “Kaantha,” will include Dulquer in a hitherto unseen character. Selvamani Selvaraj, whose forthcoming project named “The Hunt for Veerappan,” an international docu-drama series, is due to air on Netflix on August 4th, will helm this highly awaited production. He also worked on “Life of Pi” with Oscar winner Ang Lee.
Wayfarer Films’ founder, actor Dulquer Salmaan, stated, “Kaantha” is incredibly important to my heart, and I’ve been anxious to bring this to life since the day I heard the tale since it’s unlike anything we’ve seen in Indian film.” Producing this with Spirit Media and taking on one of the most difficult responsibilities in my career is an amazing trip that I am looking forward to.”
