Ram Pothineni Turns Director for His Most Ambitious Film

Ram Pothineni has officially embarked on his most ambitious project yet with RAPO23, a psychological action thriller that marks a major milestone in his career. Apart from playing the lead role, the energetic star is making his directorial debut and has also penned the original story for the film.

Set against a gripping neo-noir backdrop, RAPO23 promises an intense blend of action, suspense, and psychological drama. The film was formally launched on Monday with a traditional pooja ceremony in Hyderabad before commencing its regular shoot.

The launch event was attended by several notable personalities. Producer Krishna Pothineni handed over the script to Ram, while veteran actor Murali Mohan switched on the camera for the muhurtham shot. Producer PV Ravi Kishore gave the ceremonial clapboard, and Ram directed the first shot himself. He also joined the sets along with the principal cast as filming began.

Bankrolled by Krishna Pothineni under the newly launched Rapo Cinematics banner, RAPO23 is said to be the highest-budgeted film of Ram Pothineni’s career. The project boasts a strong technical crew, including National Award-winning cinematographer Thiru, renowned stunt choreographer Peter Hein, and acclaimed production designer AS Prakash.

While actress Nivetha Pethuraj is reportedly playing the female lead, the makers are yet to make an official announcement regarding the complete cast. More exciting updates about RAPO23 are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
