Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma ,Varma Criticizes Telugu Cinema, Rajamouli Criticizes

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is known for his bold opinions, and his recent remarks on Telugu cinema have sparked debate. He stated that all directors now want to be like Rajamouli, and all actors want to be like Prabhas. However, he believes this ambition leads to major financial losses for mid-range actors and directors.

RGV Slams Mid-Range Telugu Heroes

Varma criticized Tier-2 Telugu heroes for making expensive films despite their limited market. According to him, these actors do not have a real fan base, yet they invest heavily in high-budget films, leading to huge losses.

“Their market value is around Rs 10 Cr, but they act in Rs 50 Cr movies. When the films flop, they lose Rs 40 Cr along with their credibility. Instead of trying to be big-budget stars, they should focus on strong storytelling, like Mollywood actors do,” said RGV.

He pointed out that these actors believe spending more will guarantee success, but without genuine audience support, their movies fail. Instead, he suggested that mid-range actors should focus on quality content and gradually increase their market value.

Telugu Directors Also to Blame

Varma didn’t just target actors; he also blamed Tier-2 directors for their downfall. He claimed that after a successful debut, these directors lose their creativity and focus more on making grand movies rather than unique stories.

“They dream of becoming star directors without real creativity. They try to make large-scale films but end up damaging their own careers and the actors who trust them,” RGV added.

RGV on Viral Sensation Mahakumbh Mela Monalisa

Varma also spoke about Mahakumbh Mela Monalisa, a social media sensation. He clarified that he has no interest in casting her in his films and feels surprised by her sudden popularity.

RGV’s Upcoming Film: ‘Syndicate’

On January 22, Ram Gopal Varma announced his upcoming film, Syndicate. He described it as a gripping thriller about a powerful organization that poses a serious threat to India.

“This film won’t have ghosts or supernatural elements. The real fear will come from the dark side of human nature,” he revealed.

With Syndicate, RGV aims to explore a chilling and realistic storyline, promising a film that will leave audiences on edge.
