Ram Charan’s Peddi Faces Another Delay

By TeluguFunda / October 8, 2025

Ram Charan’s highly anticipated sports drama Peddi, directed by Uppena fame Buchi Babu Sana, has once again hit a delay in production. Initially planned to be completed by October, the shoot has now been extended, with the release likely pushed to March 2026 or later.

According to sources, the scale of Peddi has expanded far beyond the original plan. “Every schedule has stretched because of the detailing from the action choreography to the period setting. The team is prioritising authenticity over speed,” a source revealed.

Charan is said to be deeply involved in the filmmaking process, personally reviewing footage and reworking scenes along with the director. “Both Charan and Buchi Babu are perfectionists who want every frame to stand out. The process is taking longer, but the intention is to deliver quality. They’re also being mindful of the budget,” the insider added.

With a production cost reportedly crossing Rs 300 crore, Peddi promises to be one of the biggest Telugu films in the making. The movie stars Janhvi Kapoor opposite Ram Charan and has been filmed extensively in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, and Rajahmundry.

One of the film’s standout elements is a massive village set constructed in Hyderabad, touted as one of the most expensive sets ever built in Telugu cinema. All eyes are now on how this ambitious sports drama shapes up as it heads toward completion.
