'Raa Macha Macha' from 'Game Changer' has unique aspects

Shankar-directed ‘Game Changer’ is slated for a pre-Christmas release this year. The film’s second song, titled ‘Raa Macha Macha’, is scheduled to be out on September 30th.

The film, composed by SS Thaman, is a fusion of folk cultural music. In a special video released by producer Dil Raju, Shankar says that folk music and dance forms from four different states will be seen in the song. Gussadi, Kommukoya, and Tappeta Gullu from Andhra Pradesh, Ranapa, Paika and Ghumra from Odisha, Hallaki and Goravara from Karnataka, and Chhau from West Bengal are the inspirations behind the song.

A big surprise for Ram Charan’s fans is that the Global Star has performed a complex dance move in a single shot. Shankar and Thaman feel that it is mind-blowing. “The song is replete with nostalgia,” the director said.

Written by Ananth Sriram, ‘Raa Macha Macha’ has dance moves created by Ganesh Acharya. The film’s first song, titled ‘Jaragandi’, was released months ago.
