The much-anticipated Pushpa 3 is officially set to begin production in 2027, but only after director Sukumar completes his film with Ram Charan, tentatively titled RC17. The latest update was shared by Mythri Movie Makers producer Naveen Yerneni, confirming that Sukumar will first focus on RC17 before moving on to the third installment of the Pushpa franchise.

RC17 marks the second collaboration between Ram Charan and Sukumar, following the massive success of Rangasthalam. The director recently praised Ram Charan’s performance in Game Changer, predicting it could win him a National Award. This has raised anticipation for RC17, which is expected to be a major project.
Pushpa 2’s Blockbuster Success and Part 3’s Tease
Pushpa 2: The Rule, which hit screens in December 2024, became the highest-grossing Indian film at the domestic box office. It earned a record-breaking ₹1,234.1 crore in India and ₹1,742.1 crore worldwide, making it the third biggest Indian film of all time, behind Baahubali 2 and Dangal. The film concluded with a clear setup for part three, leaving fans eagerly waiting for the next chapter.
Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar, the producer of Pushpa, recently confirmed that the third part will arrive in 2027 or 2028. Allu Arjun will reprise his iconic role as Pushpa Raj, alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil.
Allu Arjun’s New Collaboration with Atlee
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun is making headlines with rumors of a new collaboration with director Atlee. Reports suggest this will be a high-octane action film, where Arjun might play a dual role, similar to Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan. Buzz indicates that Janhvi Kapoor could be cast as the female lead.
According to Pinkvilla, Arjun has signed a massive deal worth Rs 175 crore with Sun Pictures for the film. Additionally, he will receive a 15% profit share, making it one of the biggest deals in modern Indian cinema. The film is expected to begin production between August and October 2025, depending on pre-production timelines.
