Pan-India star Prabhas is officially teaming up with Prasanth Varma, the director of Hanu-Man, for a new film. This project will be backed by Hombale Films, the banner behind KGF and Salaar. According to the latest updates, the look test and test shoot for the film are scheduled to take place today, marking the first step towards its development.
A Much-Awaited Collaboration
Prasanth Varma has been in high demand ever since Hanu-Man became a massive success. The director had earlier pitched his ambitious project, Brahma Rakshas, to Bollywood star Ranveer Singh, but the film faced delays after the actor walked out. Now, reports suggest that Prabhas has given his nod for the film, making it one of the most exciting projects in the pipeline.
While the look test is happening soon, there is no clarity on when the movie will start filming. Prabhas already has multiple projects lined up, including:
The Raja Saab (Directed by Maruthi) – Expected to release this summer
Fauji (Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi) – Currently filming
Spirit (Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga) – Scheduled to begin in May
Salaar 2 and Kalki 2898 AD: Part 2 – Yet to start production
Considering his packed schedule, it might take some time before Brahma Rakshas goes on floors.
Hombale Films’ Big Plans with Prabhas
Hombale Films, which produced Salaar, has reportedly signed a three-film deal with Prabhas. This upcoming collaboration with Prasanth Varma is believed to be part of that agreement. However, an official confirmation from the makers is still awaited.
Meanwhile, Prasanth Varma is also working on other major projects, including Jai Hanuman, a sequel to Hanu-Man, featuring Rishab Shetty, and a launch film for Mokshagna (Balakrishna’s son).
Exciting Times for Prabhas Fans
Prabhas’ fans have a lot to look forward to in 2024. While they await updates on his new film with Prasanth Varma, they can enjoy his upcoming releases. The Raja Saab is expected to arrive later this year, and he also has a special appearance as Rudra in Kannappa, starring Manchu Vishnu, which is set to release on April 25.
With today’s look test, fans are eager to see what Brahma Rakshas has in store. More details about this mega project are expected soon.
