Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed Andhra Pradesh’s pivotal role in shaping India’s development journey during his visit to Kurnool. Addressing a massive public rally under the banner of “Super GST Super Savings”, the Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation for projects worth ₹13,429 crore across the state, marking another major step in the state’s progress story.

Modi emphasized that Andhra Pradesh’s growth is deeply intertwined with India’s overall economic advancement. Highlighting the significance of the Rayalaseema region, he said its rapid rise would serve as a driving force in the nation’s transformation. The newly launched infrastructure initiatives, he added, would generate vast opportunities and propel the region onto a high-speed growth trajectory.

Describing Andhra Pradesh as a symbol of pride, culture, science, and innovation, Modi lauded the state’s youth for their boundless energy and talent. “The young generation of Andhra Pradesh has immense potential to seize new opportunities and shape the future of India,” he noted. Recalling his visit to the Srisailam temple earlier in the day, Modi shared that he had sought divine blessings for the continued prosperity of the state.

The Prime Minister also commended Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, calling them a dynamic duo steering Andhra Pradesh toward a brighter future. He assured that the Central Government would continue to work hand in hand with the state administration to ensure inclusive development and stability.

Referring to the “double-engine government” model, Modi remarked that Andhra Pradesh has witnessed a remarkable turnaround over the past 16 months. “On one side, Delhi is moving ahead; on the other, Amaravati is racing toward progress,” he said, underscoring the synergy between the Centre and the State.

Modi further elaborated on the GST reforms, explaining that goods and services once taxed at 28 percent now largely fall under the 18 percent or 5 percent slabs, providing major relief to the poor and middle class. This rationalization, he noted, has led to significant festive savings for millions of Indian families during Dussehra and Diwali.

Concluding his address, Modi shared his long-term vision for the nation:

“By 2047, we aim to achieve Viksit Bharat a fully developed India. The 21st century belongs to 1.4 billion Indians, and Andhra Pradesh will stand as one of its strongest pillars.”
