Pawan Kalyan’s Striking Remarks: “I Faced Arjuna’s Dilemma…”

By TeluguFunda / December 8, 2025

Jana Sena chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan made sensational comments during a recent spiritual event, saying that he did not compare himself to Arjuna, but he did face a dilemma similar to the one Arjuna experienced at the beginning of the Kurukshetra war. He said he confronted such confusion right before the 2024 elections.

Pawan explained that, just as Lord Krishna cleared Arjuna’s doubts through the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, he too found clarity through deep reflection. He said he realized that the welfare of the people mattered far more than personal gains or losses. It was this understanding, he recalled, that made him restrict his party to contesting only 21 Assembly seats in the elections.

A Seeker of Truth

Pawan Kalyan attended the grand Gita Jayanti celebrations organized by the Pejawar Mutt in Udupi, Karnataka, at the invitation of Sugunendra Tirtha Swamiji. His spiritual discourse on the Bhagavad Gita impressed everyone present.

He said he views the Gita as a profound philosophy of dharma, not merely a religious scripture. Its essence, he stated, offers direction to countless people. Pawan emphasized that he had come to the event not as a political leader but as a seeker of spiritual knowledge. Leadership, according to him, is not about holding positions but about making the right decisions for the people.

A Great Spiritual Force

Pawan stressed that the Bhagavad Gita is not just a text to be kept in prayer rooms. Instead, it is a powerful guide that offers essential wisdom for one’s career and life. He said every individual must overcome doubts and challenges, and the Gita acts as a spiritual force that guides decision-making in difficult moments.

He added that today’s youth especially need the Gita, as it offers mental strength and solutions to the struggles they face in academics, careers, and personal life.

The Strength That Sustained India

Pawan pointed out that no other nation in the world has faced as many invasions as India. Yet India survived not because of military strength, he said, but because of its foundation in dharma. Scriptures, saints, traditions, and sacred institutions that upheld dharma are the true pillars of the nation.

He reminded the audience that the Bhagavad Gita is not just a Hindu text; it has influenced some of the world’s greatest minds, including Einstein and Oppenheimer.

A Remarkable Display of Spirituality

Many were surprised by the depth of spiritual understanding Pawan displayed in his Udupi speech. His explanation of the Gita’s essence, observers noted, was particularly impressive. The event reaffirmed Pawan Kalyan’s image as a man of unique personality and strong moral convictions.
