Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan is set to visit the Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple at Kondagattu in Jagtial district, Telangana, where he will offer special prayers and lay the foundation stone for major development works.
Pawan Kalyan considers Lord Anjaneya at Kondagattu as his Ishta Daivam (presiding deity). After securing a decisive victory in the recent elections, he had earlier visited the temple to fulfill his vows. During interactions with temple priests and authorities at that time, concerns were raised about the lack of basic amenities for devotees arriving from distant regions.
Temple officials highlighted the need for a Deeksha Viramana Mandapam (a hall for devotees to conclude religious vows) and a rest house with accommodation facilities. Responding positively, Pawan Kalyan proposed undertaking these development projects with the support of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) funds.
He subsequently discussed the proposal with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and the TTD Board, which later approved an allocation of ₹35.19 crore for the works. The foundation stone laying ceremony will be conducted following traditional religious rituals.
The proposed projects include:
A Deeksha Viramana Mandapam capable of accommodating around 2,000 devotees at a time
A choultry with 96 rooms to provide lodging facilities for pilgrims
TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu will also attend the ceremony.
After completing the temple program, Pawan Kalyan will meet Jana Sena Party leaders and activists from Telangana at Brindavanam Resort near Kodimyala. He is also expected to interact with sarpanches and ward members who secured victories in the recent Telangana panchayat elections with Jana Sena’s support.
