Organisers’ Lapse Results in Actress Being Mobbed by Fans

Celebrities in India often find public appearances challenging, with airports, outdoor shoots, and promotional events frequently turning chaotic due to unruly crowds. Female actors, in particular, tend to face greater discomfort when fans fail to maintain basic decorum during such outings.

Tollywood is no exception, and actress Nidhhi Agerwal recently became the latest victim of poor crowd management. During the promotional song launch event of Prabhas’ upcoming film The Raja Saab at Lulu Mall, Hyderabad, on Wednesday evening, the situation spiralled out of control.

The event, attended by director Maruthi and Nidhhi Agerwal, drew an unexpectedly massive crowd. While the programme itself went smoothly, chaos ensued once it concluded. As Nidhhi attempted to make her way to her car, an overenthusiastic crowd surrounded her, jostling and pushing to get closer, leaving the actress visibly distressed.

Despite the presence of her team and security personnel, it took considerable effort to escort her safely into the vehicle, as the crowd refused to give way. Shaken by the frightening experience, the actress finally breathed a sigh of relief after reaching her car. Videos of the incident have since gone viral on social media, triggering widespread criticism of the crowd’s lack of civic sense and the organisers’ failure to manage security effectively.

The incident once again underlines the crucial responsibility of event organisers to ensure proper planning, crowd control, and adequate security especially during promotions of big-star films like The Raja Saab, which naturally attract huge fan turnouts. Even a small lapse can escalate into a dangerous situation, putting celebrities at unnecessary risk.

Such incidents not only endanger those involved but also cast an unfavourable light on the film’s team and lead actors, who bear no responsibility for these mishaps. Ensuring safety and maintaining decorum must remain the top priority at all public events.
