Netflix: A Massive Line-up of 13 Telugu Films

When the COVID-19 pandemic struck in 2020, theatres across the country were forced to shut down. Film shootings came to a standstill due to lockdown restrictions, and many people even lost their lives to the virus. During this difficult phase, OTT platforms witnessed a huge surge in popularity. With people confined to their homes and looking for entertainment, OTT services became the preferred choice for watching movies and web content.

Since then, the demand for OTT platforms has grown tremendously. Today, almost every film that releases in theatres makes its way to OTT within four to eight weeks, offering audiences convenient and continuous entertainment. Earlier, producers used to finalize OTT deals just before a film’s release. However, the scenario has now completely changed. These days, OTT agreements are being locked even at the film’s shooting stage itself. In fact, theatrical release dates are often planned keeping the OTT streaming date in mind.

In this context, leading OTT platform Netflix has officially announced a list of Telugu films that will be streaming on its platform this year. The list features films starring top stars like Pawan Kalyan and Ram Charan, along with movies led by young and emerging actors such as Roshan Meka and Vishwak Sen. Overall, it is noteworthy that as many as 13 Telugu films are gearing up for streaming on Netflix this year.
