The highly anticipated sequel to the inspirational political drama ‘Yatra,’ titled ‘Yatra 2,’ is all set to take the audience on another emotional rollercoaster. The movie continues the legacy of portraying the incredible journey of the late Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy, the last people’s elected Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh. ‘Yatra 2,’ slated for release on 8th February, delves into the political landscape of Andhra Pradesh between 2009-2019, capturing the essence of YS Jagan’s historic walkathon for the welfare of the people.
The recently released trailer of ‘Yatra 2’ unveiled on 3rd February showcases a gripping narrative that promises to be an emotional journey for the viewers. The trailer begins with a poignant scene where a distressed woman narrates her struggles, revealing her daughter’s hearing impairment. YSR’s secretary advises him against allocating a significant amount from the state budget for a single individual, to which YSR responds with empathy, “I can understand what you are saying. Convey it to that kid that we are unable to help her.” This emotionally charged moment sets the tone for the depth and intensity of ‘Yatra 2.’
The trailer unfolds the subsequent events, including YSR’s demise, Jagan’s initiation of the ‘Odarpu Yatra’ to console those affected by his father’s death, and the challenges he faces due to his decisions. The preview concludes with a powerful scene where a blind man, addressing Jiiva as YS Jagan, pleads for leadership, to which Jiiva assures, “He has listened to his words and will be there for them.”
