Malayalam cinema is witnessing a historic moment as Mohanlal and Mammootty reunite after 16 years for Mahesh Narayanan’s upcoming film, tentatively titled MMMN. The film has already generated massive buzz, and now, another superstar, Nayanthara, has officially joined the cast.
Nayanthara’s Grand Arrival on Set
Production house Anto Joseph Film Company shared a video capturing Nayanthara’s warm welcome on set. The clip, released on February 9, shows the actress dressed in an indigo-colored suit with her hair styled in a messy bun. She is seen interacting with Mammootty, director Mahesh Narayanan, and the rest of the crew. Mammootty appears in a casual printed shirt, and the video offers glimpses of the film set without revealing any major details about the storyline.
A Powerful Cast and Long-Awaited Reunions
This film marks Nayanthara’s return to Malayalam cinema after a brief break. It also brings her back on screen with Mammootty after their last collaboration in Puthiya Niyamam (2016). Fans have previously loved their chemistry in films like Bhaskar the Rascal (2015), Rappakal (2005), and Thaskara Veeran (2005).
Besides Mohanlal, Mammootty, and Nayanthara, the movie features an ensemble cast, including Fahadh Faasil and Kunchacko Boban in key roles.
Filming Across Multiple Locations
The film’s puja ceremony was held in November 2024 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Since then, filming has been progressing steadily. The team has already completed several key scenes featuring all four lead actors.
The shooting schedule spans 150 days and covers diverse locations, including Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Sri Lanka, London, Abu Dhabi, Azerbaijan, Thailand, Delhi, and Kochi. Nayanthara has joined the team for the Kochi schedule, and the next phase of filming will take place in Delhi.
