‘Prathinidhi 2’ was released in theatres in May just before the General and Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh. Starring Nara Rohit in the lead, the film failed to make a mark commercially.
Aha is going to start streaming it from September 27th.
Also starring Siri Lella, Dinesh Tej, Sapthagiri, Sachin Khedekar, Jisshu Sengupta, Udaya Bhanu, and Ajay Ghosh, the film was directed by senior journalist Murthy Devagupthapu. When asked about the rumour that ‘Prathinidhi 2’ was funded by Chandrababu Naidu to propel an anti-Jagan narrative, Murthy quipped, “Far from him funding my movie, it is I who funds him. Do you know how? I buy Heritage milk every day. I also fund a lot of other leaders. When I buy Bharathi cement, I fund the YSRCP. So on and so forth.”
Recently, Nara Rohit stated that ‘Prathinidhi 2’ was hardly noticed by the audience. “Not many even know that it got released in theatres,” he said with a smile on his face.
‘Sundarakanda’ is Nara Rohit’s upcoming release. It will probably arrive at the cinemas in November this year.
