‘Kalki 2898 AD’ was released in theatres on June 27th. In one of his latest interviews, director Nag Ashwin talked about his four high points from the movie.
- The reveal of Prabhas’ Bhairava as a reincarnation of Karna from the Mahabharata Era.
- Supreme Yaskin (Kamal Haasan) reciting Sri Sri’s ‘Jagannatha ratha chakralu vastunnayi’ poem.
- The interval scene involving a pregnant Sumathi (played by Deepika Padukone).
- Ashwatthama (Amitabh Bachchan) talking to Raia and the scene suddenly cutting to an episode from the Mahabharata. “Nobody expected that kind of a cut,” Nag Ashwin said.
‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is going to have its Part 2. It will go on the floors later this year. It will be released in 2025.
