Hero Karthi is ready to entertain the audience with his 25th film ‘Japan’. Directed by Raju Murugan of Joker fame, this pan India heist thriller is produced by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu under Dream Warrior Pictures banner. Anu Emmanuel is playing the heroine. The already released teaser, trailer and songs of the film have received tremendous response. Annapurna Studios is releasing this movie in Telugu states. Japan’s ‘Diwali’ will be released on November 10 in grand theaters. On this occasion, producer SR Prabhu shared the special features of Japan in a press conference?
What inspired you to make the film ‘Japan’?
Writer and director Raju Murugan’s ideas are very unique. Karthi Garu wanted to make a film with Raju Murugan. Raju Murugan’s way of looking at the society and the way of saying anything is very unique. They make you think while laughing. Karthi loved the story of ‘Japan’ told by Raju Murugan. A Japanese character based movie. The character of Japan will remain in the mind of the audience for a long time.
How did you feel about the tremendous response to the Japan trailer teaser?
Our film journey is very varied. Making films that are different from each other and getting the audience’s appreciation gives me great joy as a producer. We are very satisfied with our film. Karthi garu is also interested in doing different films. Trying something new every time. There is a curiosity among the audience about the Japanese film from the beginning. The get-up and voice modulation all caught the attention of the audience. Even after watching the trailer and teaser, the audience is still curious about what kind of Japanese movie it is. We maintained that curiosity.
How mesmerizing is Karthi in the role of Japan?
It is a character driven movie. Images like these last a long time. Karthi did a wonderful job. The character of Japan becomes very famous. As much as Karthi’s dialogue ‘Evvarra Meerantha’ has gone viral.. Japanese content will also go viral.
What are the advantages of the ‘Japan’ movie genre?

After seeing the Japanese trailer teaser, Nagarjuna congratulated Karthi on how he is able to create such different stories and characters for each film. Annapurna Studios released Karthi’s Sardaar movie last year. Regarding the film, Supriya, we have the same ideas. Annapurna is a good platform to achieve greater reach.
