‘Mookuthi Amman’ (2020), the fantasy comedy film, was directly released on Disney Plu Hotstar. Its sequel is currently being made for theatres. Once again, Nayanthara will be playing the role of a Goddess.
Vels Film International has zeroed in on Sundar C, one of the senior-most Kollywood directors, to helm the project. This time, the fantasy comedy is going to feature a higher proportion of divine elements.
Also produced by Rowdy Pictures, Avni Cinemax, IVY Entertainment, and B4U Motion Pictures, the film will feature Ishan Saksena, Sunil Shah, and Raja Subramanian in key roles.
Last year, Nayanthara was seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’, ‘Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food’, and ‘Iraivan’. Currently, she is doing ‘Test’, ‘Mannangatti Since 1960’, ‘Dear Students’, and ‘Thani Oruvan 2’. As a producer, last year, she bankrolled ‘Shubh Yatra’ (Gujarati) with her husband Vignesh Shivan. It was a remake of the Tamil film ‘Aandavan Kattalai’.
‘Mookuthi Amman-2’ will lock its release date soon. ‘The Rise Of Divine’ is its tagline.
