Tollywood star Nandamuri Balakrishna’s son, Mokshagna, has been the talk of the town due to his much-anticipated film debut. The launch of the film, which was scheduled for last week, has sparked a series of rumors after it was suddenly postponed. Initially, the film was set to be directed by Hanu-Man fame Prasanth Varma. However, the event was canceled at the last minute when Mokshagna fell ill with a fever.
The cancellation of the event led many to speculate that the debut film was in trouble and would be directed by Kalki 2898 AD director Nag Ashwin instead. These rumors quickly spread across social media, creating doubts about the film’s future. To put an end to these speculations, the film’s makers issued an official statement.
Official Clarification from the Makers
The statement from the team reassured fans, saying, “There have been some baseless rumors circulating regarding the project. We assure you that they are not true.” The makers also confirmed that they would share updates on the film at the appropriate time through official channels.
The film, directed by Prasanth Varma, is still very much in production. It is being produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under his banner Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas, in association with Balakrishna’s younger daughter Tejaswini’s Legend Productions. The film is expected to be a superhero drama, and fans have been eagerly awaiting updates.
Balakrishna and Mokshagna’s Response
Nandamuri Balakrishna himself addressed the cancellation of the launch event. He clarified that the event was canceled because Mokshagna was unwell and not because the film was being shelved. “The pooja ceremony was supposed to happen, but Mokshagna wasn’t feeling well, so we had to postpone it,” he explained.
Despite the rumors, the film is still progressing. Director Prasanth Varma recently teased fans with the hashtag SIMBA Is Coming, confirming that the pre-production work has been completed. The team is now preparing to begin filming, and Mokshagna’s debut remains a top priority.
