Sarathi started his public life with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in 1970. As a young pracharak (full-time campaigner), he traveled across Nellore district, building strong networks and spreading the Sangh’s message.

In 1983, he launched a campaign called Punaragamanam, which helped reconvert several people to Hinduism. This work showed his ability to combine cultural activism with meaningful outreach on the ground.

Winning Rayalaseema’s Trust Through Hard Work

Sarathi began leading BJP campaigns in Kadiri and Hindupur from 1985 onwards. For 15 years, he worked at the grassroots level, preparing the ground for a political breakthrough. In 1999, his efforts paid off when he became the first BJP MLA from Rayalaseema, winning from Kadiri.

This victory was historic, as Rayalaseema had long been dominated by the Congress party. Sarathi focused on people’s welfare and introduced the Faction Zone Committee to reduce violent group conflicts in the area, earning respect from all political sides.

Transforming BJP’s Finances in Andhra Pradesh

Since 2013, Sarathi has managed the BJP’s financial system in Andhra Pradesh. As Finance Committee Chairman, he introduced technology-based transparency, modernized donation processes, and ensured proper distribution of funds to key areas. He treats party money with care and responsibility, always planning for the future. Party insiders admire his honesty and discipline in financial matters.

Beyond Politics: A Leader Who Cares

Sarathi also led efforts in Women and Child Welfare in 1999 and helped reduce factional violence in 2001. His leadership style remains people-focused. He lives a simple life and always keeps his doors open to the public in Kadiri. He guides young party workers and stays active in public service.
