A Ludhiana court has issued an arrest warrant against Bollywood actor Sonu Sood in a fraud case involving Rs 10 lakh. The Judicial Magistrate Ramanpreet Kaur issued the warrant after Sood failed to appear in court despite being summoned.
Details of the Fraud Case
The case was filed by Rajesh Khanna, a lawyer from Ludhiana. He accused Mohit Shukla, the main suspect, of deceiving him into investing in a fake cryptocurrency called Rijika coin. The court had summoned Sonu Sood to provide his testimony, but he did not appear. As a result, the court issued an arrest warrant against him.
Court’s Order for Sonu Sood’s Arrest
The Ludhiana court directed the Oshiwara Police Station, Andheri West, Mumbai, to arrest Sonu Sood and bring him before the court. The order stated, “Sonu Sood, resident of H.NO 605/606 Casablanca Apartment, has been served with summons but failed to appear. He is avoiding the summons and staying out of the way. You are hereby ordered to arrest and present him before the court.”
The court instructed police officials to execute the warrant and report back by February 10, 2025, either confirming the arrest or explaining why it was not executed.
Upcoming Court Hearing
The next hearing in the case is scheduled for February 10, 2025. If Sonu Sood fails to appear again, the court may take stricter action. With the February 10 hearing approaching, all eyes are on whether the actor will appear in court or face further legal trouble.

Just days before the arrest warrant, Sonu Sood met Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu and donated four ambulances to improve healthcare services in the state. He expressed gratitude for Naidu’s support toward the Sood Charity Foundation.
